Lesson 1: Angle Relationships
Words to Know
Angle: has two sides that share a common endpoint and is measured in degrees
Degrees: the unit of measure used for angles
Vertex: the point where the two sides of an angle meet
Congruent Angles: two angles that have the same measures
Right Angle: exactly 90 degrees
Obtuse Angle: greater than 90 degrees
Straight Angle: exactly 180 degrees
Vertical Angles: two angles that are opposite each other on intersecting lines
Adjacent Angles: two angles that are right next to each other - they share a common side and vertex
